In 2008, our CEO Michael Joseph started a small vacation rental management service in his then-home of South Lake Tahoe. Why? Because he himself was a vacation rental property owner – and he saw firsthand that there was a need for real innovation in the space. In 2010, Michael teamed up with Co-Founder Tom Feldhusen to create a software product that could manage the needs of vacation rental owners. With the invaluable help of the TechStars program in Boulder, they started Vacation Rental Partner (VRP) and their vision began to be realized. As such, their revolutionary software not only changed the way vacation properties could be managed, but also provided a superior experience for both homeowners and guests. By 2011, VRP had become a full-blown virtual rental management company, offering homes in Lake Tahoe to guests around the world. But something was missing. They knew it was crucial to help ensure the quality, cleanliness, and functionality of every home, for every stay. They decided that consistency should be crowned king. So, in 2013, InvitedHome was born. Today, we’re one of nation’s most highly reputed vacation home rental companies, landing at #28 on Inc. 5000’s list of fastest growing private U.S. companies.
